This is useful when writing HTML valid web pages. For example, when writing the symbol & in HTML code you should never just write &. Instead write the character as & as this will display the same on the generated page and be valid HTML code. Move your mouse over each of the symbols to view the HTML encoding and the ISO standard encoding for that character. Click on the table to stop the updating, click a second time to restart it.
