Users to cross-post status updates across Twitter and LinkedIn

The recent cooperation deal between Twitter and LinkedIn permitted the users to cross-post messages across the two social networking websites. This particular agreement will be touted as a treat to the users of both the websites, according to experts.

The networking websites have another surprise in store for their registered members. Both the social networking websites have announced an agreement in which the users can now also post status updates across the websites. The microblogging platform, Twitter, and the business networking website, LinkedIn, hope to attract more members through this agreement.

The partnership decision was announced by Allen Blue, the co-founder and Vice President of product strategy, LinkedIn, when he posted a message on the official LinkedIn blog. The entire concept is based on the concept of sharing your LinkedIn updates in real time through tweets. The followers can thus check the updates instantaneously.

The system also works vice-versa. The tweets can also be sent back to the LinkedIn website from the Twitter service.

The users can choose to use either one or both versions. For instance, the Twitter members can send all the tweets or a certain part of the tweets from Twitter back to LinkedIn in the form of a status update.
