May 14, 2008

The Google TV Ads, a take on TV advertising by Google AdWords, which have been in their ‘by invitation-only beta mode’ till this point are going ahead full steam. They have now become available for US-based advertisers.

Google TV Ads were created to form an all-digital, flexible system helping in the buying of more accountable and measurable TV Advertising. Users can launch an advertising campaign on TV in minutes by using the familiar AdWords interface.

Google’s Ad Creation Marketplace can initiate a user in creating their TV Ads. In sync with the launch of the Ad Program, for a limited time period only, a cost free TV Ad creation promo is being offered by the Marketplace to participate in the program, Adwords’ advertisers need to have their TV commercials.

Once the TV Ads have been created, users can get started on creating their AdWords’ campaign. Recommendations will be given by Google TV Ads or, alternatively, the user can request for a campaign proposal that has been customised for them, free of cost, for their TV Ads. If the user finds any specific TV programme relevant to their product or services, they run the ads during that particular programme.
