Social media tactics help boost traffic
April 3, 2008One of the main targets of any website owner today is to generate traffic and experts claim that social media marketing can dramatically improve the number of visitors a website gains. Frank Stoczko, an industry reporter said in one of his articles for online resource PromotionWorld, that viral tactics such as widgets can really boost the traffic a website receives. However, he also added saying that it is important that a website is as attractive as its marketing efforts.
Additionally, creating a great looking website and filling it with informative and useful content definitely helps generate desired traffic. Visitors get what they want and promote the website via word of mouth.
Lately, research giant Forrester educated marketers to consider promoting a business through social applications such as networking sites and online communities, as it is a cost-effective way of advertising a firm.
The firm also suggested that cheap marketing tactics such as this can help a business survive and potentially thrive within an economic recession.
