SingleClick ready to link to Open Source Wireless Database
SingleClick Systems is planning to integrate its software with support for the open source Wireless Universal Resource File (WURFL), which is an attempt to boost the amount of mobile content available today. The company confirmed that WURFL support in its HomeNet Manager 4.0 means an improved level of device detection and better remote access intelligence.
Additionally, Remote Access technology embedded in HomeNet Manager would give consumers and small businesses the ability to remotely control and connect to all the devices in their designated network either from a desktop Web browser or mobile device. Users would be able to stream personal content to mobile devices attached to the network by connecting through a dynamic VPN with an integrated media server.
As the [WURFL] database is constantly updated and refreshed to include all new devices put out by all mobile device manufacturers, HomeNet Manager 4.0 will remain up to date at all times, with each new device instantly being compatible with the software solution. Thanks to the adoption of WURFL by Singleclick, now content will be served to more than 7,000 mobile devices in a format they can handle.
