Newsified Provides Social News at a Glance
November 19, 2008Newsified is a minimal aggregation venture that provides information with regards to the most-in-demand social news or bookmarking websites. It also provides information on the most popular YouTube videos.
Luke Stevens, the creator of Newsified, came up with this idea to fix a flaw that he felt existed in the social news area. Mr Stevens said he realised that when he searched for the most in demand news information, he found that barely 10% of the latest news information was put up in any of the most well known social news websites.
He then decided to create something that had the capacity to place 90% of the top hot social news and gossip on its front page, so as to allow interested individuals to view all the news without browsing and clicking in multiple places. Newsified differentiates itself from other similar websites such as Popurls, Alltop and Loud3r by providing the latest information from different social news websites such as news stories rather than putting up just a list with a number of links on it.
It provides news with a headline, a small summary wherever possible as well as references to the original source with icon and allows the user to click on it directly. Users can thus view the latest news online culled through various different sources.
