MySpace Mobile makes its debut on Sprint phones

One of the most popular social networking sites MySpace.com has released MySpace Mobile in partnership with Sprint. This service would allow Sprint users to access MySpace free of cost on Web-enabled phones. They will not have to type in the URL and will just need to click on the MySpace mobile link available on their mobile browser. This marks the 1st time for the social network to get free direct access on a leading U.S. wireless carrier.

Sprint users will be able to edit, view and add friends to their MySpace profiles. Additionally, they can add photo albums, post blogs and send and receive MySpace messages. Plus, they will be able to read, compose and reply to mails. Dubbed as ‘Simply Everything plan’, it will allow users to take advantage of unlimited mobile Web usage, unlimited messaging, calling and data. Sprint customers on other calling plans will have to pay a fixed monthly charge for data packs with unlimited mobile Web usage.

“Sprint’s commitment to providing innovative mobile data content to its customers is aligned with the mobile strategy of MySpace,” an official stated. “It’s worth noting that Sprint is the first of many MySpace Mobile carrier deals that we’ll be announcing over the next couple of months.”
