LinkedIn partners with Microsoft Outlook

Microsoft is currently previewing its Microsoft Outlook Social Connector at the Annual Developer Conference. The Microsoft Outlook Social Connector is going to be made available with Outlook 2010.

LinkedIn has integrated itself with the Microsoft Outlook 2010 application. With the help of this partnership, businesses will be able to integrate the communication history of its users with Microsoft Outlook. Moreover, business and social networking feeds made on LinkedIn will also be available on Microsoft’s Outlook. This spells a lot of conveniences for business owners who are already using LinkedIn for their business communication and networking requirements. Moreover, it also provides a platform for new Outlook users to efficiently manage their business communications over long periods of time.

Microsoft has plans to integrate LinkedIn into the public beta release of Outlook 2010. LinkedIn, when integrated with Microsoft Outlook Social Connector, will enable business users to maintain their professional network while also staying up-to-date on their latest activities. All the major activities can then easily be managed from the Outlook inbox.

Just last week, LinkedIn also announced that it was going to partner with Twitter to allow its users to sync their accounts, which can then be used to publish LinkedIn updates on Twitter and vice-versa.
