Harper Collins launches interactive teen community on MySpace
December 25, 2007Harper Teen, a division of Harper Collins has launched an interactive teen community on popular social networking site – MySpace to reach out to young readers effectively. The community enables active user participation by inviting users to submit their blogs, short stories and poems. A panel of judges from Harper Teen will select 10 best original entries, but the final winner will be selected by user poll. Users voting and selecting their best choice for the grand prize makes this community completely user driven.
The Harper Teen community apart from showcasing its latest releases also promotes other interesting features like ‘First Look’ program, which allows users to review the books before they hit stores.
This initiative is yet another example of how brands are using social networking sites like MySpace to reach out to the youth.
