Facebook versus MySpace: the number game is on
December 1, 2008Facebook is making steady gains in the US. It added new visitors recently in the range of about 1 million monthly, says Nielsen Online. It seems Facebook is in the process of nearly eclipsing MySpace. No, it is not that visitors are leaving MySpace. Facebook is rather attracting new visitors, like adult surfers.
So MySpace is not actually losing its visitors as its worldwide traffic is the same, while Facebook is regularly adding new visitors and has come up to seventy five percent in terms of traffic to that of MySpace.
And this type of report is not only on Nielsen. Compete and Quantcart are also reporting similar results.
People, perhaps, will like to watch these reports carefully as the data is becoming more and more interesting with each release and where this all will lead to only time can tell, so for now “watch” is the word for viewers and analysts the world over. The number game is truly on!
