Webmaster Tools API

The webmaster’s community is made up of a diverse number of tools where people can create and share their own tools. Google has decided to open Webmaster tools for third-party integration to its community. The WebMaster team have listened to their community and have decided to release an API for Webmaster Tools. The supported features for the first version of Webmaster Tools API are bellow.

Managing Web Sites

  • Retrieve a list of websites from webmaster tools interface
  • Add your site to Webmaster tools
  • Verify your sites in Webmaster tools
  • Remove your site from Webmaster tools

Sitemap manipulation

  • Retrieve a list of submitted sitemaps
  • Add sitemaps to webmaster tools
  • Remove sitemaps from webmaster tools

Although the current API offers limited functionality remember this is the first version and is only the beginning.
