It has been remarked many times by web experts that regular, fresh and relevant content is critical to any website that wants to rank well with search engines such as Google. However, it is also important to make sure that the web pages contain polished and grammatically correct content.
For a start, if the spelling and grammar is sloppy on a company website, then how can any prospective customer or client be impressed? The site obviously does not take care in its own appearance. It is unprofessional and may increase the bounce rate of the web pages on the site. Why take that risk?
That is why editing all web content is in a company’s best interests. This applies to all content pages and not just the home page – including a blog. A content editor can help to improve the grammar, punctuation and consistency of the content. Also, it is wise to make sure the keywords are present, but are inserted within well-constructed sentences. The sentences should be succinct and it’s often advisable to have about half the word count in each one compared to the writing in newspapers, brochures and magazines.
Writing for the Web is certainly unique and very different from writing for print. Users are generally not willing to trawl through long pages of content, so make sure the content on your site is well-written, relevant and structured. Not all web content needs to be formal, but it still needs to flow and read well. Therefore, editing your web content ensures your writing is of a good quality and makes your site look welcoming and professional to visitors.

yes very well said! i totally agree. the content certainly has to be original as well as grammatically correct. but im sure all the keyword content has to match that which is written inside the structure or google will reject it! correct if im wrong because this is what i read last year and have been abiding too since.
