Search engines are changing, they have to so that they can return what they feel is the most relevant website for a given search phrase. Google coop and social book marking websites will encourage search engines to change as well as some friendly competition from Google, MSN and Yahoo.

So how does this affect your search engine optimization campaign? Keeping on top of the latest Search engine fashion is imperative, but making sure you don’t just catch on with a passing fad look for the techniques which will bring longevity to your website.

There will soon be another shake up from Google considering links, many people see the green “Pagerank” bar and think their site is high almighty, far from it pagerank has actually very little to do with a websites status within google nowadays even though it does give some indication of establishment it is not accurate to look at pagerank alone.

Moral of this story is research and development; this is what keeps people sites at the top of the listings consistently.
