Page rank scammer
November 25, 2005Recently a URL selling ‘miracle’ software was brought to our attention, which claimed to have gained a page rank of 3 after merely a few weeks of being listed after implementing its software package. At first glance this seems correct, the Google toolbar clearly displays a page rank of 3 when this site is visited. However after more in depth viewing it appears that the tool bar is being fooled into displaying a page rank of 3. The actual page rank we discovered was a tidy zero as suspected. Do not fall for this scam, be aware that SEO cowboys may use this technique to relieve your current account of a few quid. Fair doos, it looks great in a browser window, a page rank of 3 out of nowhere, what Google sees and does is a totally different matter. Don’t let these cowboys dupe you into parting with hard earned cash and leave you expecting a rise in your listings, it won’t happen! The only way to really get there is by presenting the spiders with a well designed, clean coded, optimised site with no tricks, no dirty play, and no spam. Build your presence on the web by following our advice, do it naturally. You are guaranteed a healthy and rewarding relationship with our company, as has been proven by our techniques.
