Keywords and Landing Pages , The Jigsaw Theory

June 29, 2007

In our younger years we were all challenged by puzzles and in particular jigsaws. These involved picking sections piece by piece and putting them together to form a picture.

Within paid search we can see that this same philosophy is used.

In this case the jigsaw pieces make up the user journey. The journey starts with keyword searches, then ad impressions, then ad click through, then landing page visit, and finally conversion.

Just Search plays a key role in the users search journey and makes sure that the pieces all fit together to ensure a seamless journey.

Unfortunately for most businesses, a large number of users move to another site within 10 seconds of viewing the landing page. From this point on the jigsaw is incomplete and this means the time and money used to get the user at this point has been wasted.

Just Search recognizes this and makes sure that the jigsaw is completed by building relevancy and consistency within the landing pages.
