There are a number of factors that need to be considered in SEO, one of these is your hosting server. I am going to go into a little detail about how a server’s downtime can affect your SEO.
When a website is offline the impact that it has on your SEO can be bigger than you think. If Google accesses your website while your website is down, Google could class your site as being untrustworthy. The more often your site is offline, the more Google will think your site is not to be trusted, thus Google will position you lower in the listings.
If you think about it, if your customers cannot get on to your site they will probably not come back, they will go to a competitors website that they can access.
One of the useful tips that I would give as advice, is to read reviews about the hosting company that you’re thinking about going to. If people have an opinion, they will put a review somewhere on the internet. The more bad reviews about server downtime means the more potential server downtime problems you could be facing if you decide to use them.
