Companies using sub domains.
August 11, 2005So you’ve signed up for one of these budget or cheap web design companies. Can you make it online using a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor? However you are not receiving any listings or at some point did have minor listings but slowly lost them.
One of our recent clients fell into this category. I will not name the company as they gave the client the service he had paid for, the problem was his domain name http://www.properties4cash.co.uk was forwarding to another domain. Our clients domain name was not in the search engine and so after advising the client we may have to change his hosting to align to its own part of the server. The problem then is time scales, to align the domain to another server and submit a new domain name can add a further timescale to activation. But we put our guarantee between 60 and 90 days.
We did what the client wished and after a few weeks we had 90% of the clients search phrases on the front page of google. The problem was the client then fell out of the rankings. After much research we could only come up with the result that the client site or sub domain was being penalised.
Our work around after noticing this was to align the clients domain of http://www.properties4cash.co.uk to our own server. We have now done this and have submitted this domain to the Search Engines.
We are confident that when the new domain is spidered our client should receive his results within a few week period.
Keep an eye out!
