Over the last weekend there has been devastation in Chile which has gripped the world. This is the second major earthquake in recent months.

After one of the world’s strongest earthquakes hit near to Concepcion (Chile’s second largest city), mass efforts have been taking place with international rescue forces attempting to find survivors and re-house the homeless after this natural disaster. Social media networks are also getting behind the cause.

This was used for the Haiti disaster, but is also being used now for the earthquake in Chile. It has two boxes, one for you to place information about someone, and one to announce news.

This is really good for someone who has family over there and is not able to make contact with them.

Google Maps

Google put together a timeline on google maps of what has happened and the places which have been struck. This also brings the latest events to the world so people know exactly what is happening.

This will be a huge lifeline for people who want to find out what is happening in Chile.

Twitter

There have been many hash tags created in regards to the earthquake, such as #chile, #chilequake, and #terremotochile. The hash tags have been set up to bring the latest news and vital updates to the world in regards to Chile, and will bring the latest on the situation even before it is released by the press.
