The Fall of the Search Engine Optimisation Giant - February 19th, 2006

I don’t know if any body else has noticed but I got a phone call from one of my Senior SEO’s on Saturday to advise me that the Search Engine Optimisation Giant who has dominated the front page of Google for many phrase over many years has vanished.

I quickly checked this as the company in question have been established many years had a PR7 and have been in the No.1 position for “Search Engine Optimisation” and internet Marketing” since I can remember.

So why suddenly has this Giant Fallen. Google now displays “Sorry, no information is available for the URL” there are no longer any back links to the site and the site in question has gone from PR7 to 0.

So why the drop? Quite simply they were not abiding by Googles guidelines for SEO. They were using crafty piece of black hat SEO.

Here at Just Search we preach about Ethical techniques, if you are worried about the consequences please contact us, we are a company that are No.1 on a UK search in google for the phrase “ethical Search Engine optimisation” so we know what we are talking about.

New Domains and Websites - January 15th, 2006

In today’s article I am going to talk about the issues raised with New domain names. We have many people phone up interested in our services yet they are unaware of the issues involved. At the end of the day everybody wants to be in the No.1 position for their keywords.

However this is not always possible and so when you approach an SEO company a warning sign for if their cowboys or not is if they promise you key phrases that are un achievable. There are many points that you have to take into account.

The main point is your sites internet presence, you can carry out all the on page optimisation you want, but with out any links or page rank then you will still see little results. You also need to take into account Google Sandbox, a new website can sometimes be in the sandbox for up to a year so if you have a new domain name having optimisation done early is very important so that in a years time you can start making some headway in the Natural Listings.
