SEO Review 2006 - December 29th, 2006

At lot has happened in the past 12 months, at the start of the year Google continued rolling out the big daddy data centre, we have seen two page rank updates, BMW had the website banned.

Just Search took part in Adtech London, our first major exhibition as a player as one of the top SEO firms in the country.

MSN changed their search to live.com, we have seen the emergence and buy out as major websites such as Myspace and youtube, it has been an eventful year, lets hope the next 12 months continue to let everyone be prosperous .

Many Thanks

Mobile Search - SEO Considerations - December 28th, 2006

The internet is constantly evolving, and you need to be quick on your toes to keep up with the latest trends, technologies or demands!

When considering the SEO requirements for your site, it is important to be aware of your marketplace, and what sort of search engine traffic you are hoping to attract.

One growth sector of search is in Mobile Search. More and more mobile phone users now have web browsers such as Mini Opera with them in their pocket!

One SEO consideration is to consider offering a WAP version of your site, or a stripped down mini version of your site, suitable for browsers such as the Opera browser. Many sites choose to host these on a dedicated sub-domain, i.e. http://mobile.yoursite.com

The search engines also have mobile specific versions of their search sites. Remember this when implementing your SEO strategy, as you could be ahead of your competitors if you are in the mobile search results before they are!

MSN (Live.com) recently launched a mobile version of their service, which includes a useful Maps tool, which has proven very popular - to use the service, point your browser or mobile device to http://mobile.live.com/search
