Just Search are exhibiting at ad:tech London this year on the 27th and 28th September. 301 Redirects - September 24th, 2006

301 redirects or permanent redirects are what the search engines class to be friendly. Basically their algorithm realise that something that was there has now moved, eventually it classes the old as new.

301 redirects should be used in a variety of situations but are often overlooked. Firstly to switch domain names, secondly to redirect old pages. The advantage over 301 redirects over other redirection is that pages rank will flow from old to new.
