Search Engine Optimisation: Patience - March 26th, 2006
The key to Search engine Optimisation is patience. As google is the main search engine used for the United Kingdom then generally nothing happens over night. The key to Natural SEO over it pay per click companion is longevity.
Working hard all year round on improving your site increasing the volume of pages and relevant content towards your key phrases and of course the time consuming part of generating those relevant links.
This all takes time and what is some times frustrating is that your listings will fluctuate up and down and it will sometimes look like your going down hill and not up hill. The other key factor is that chances are your competitors will also be optimising their site. So you have not got to hop that your decision to use your local web design firm who say they can ‘Optimise’ web sites or a company who is actually on the first page of google for ‘Search Engine Optimisation’ and Search engine marketing.’
After six months this is generally a good time to judge if you have been gaining a return of investment and if you are making headway up the listings. From our client list after six months 9/10 clients if not more are happy with the results they are achieving which boils down to what is discussed at the point of sale.
So the key factor is: Patience.
