March 31, 2007

This is just a brief post to give some figures for Internet Marketing in 2006. £2 Billion pound was spent on Internet Related advertising in the UK last year which has seen a 40%+ rise against all other forms of advertising. It seems that everyone has got the bug and wants a piece of the action.

Now £1.2 Billion of this was spent on Paid Advertising showing 58% of companies and people are still looking for direct instant results as appose to going down the long route of Organic listings with no guarantee’s.

Search engine stats currently show Google way ahead, in the UK it has a dominance of 78% against Yahoo’s 11% and MSN’s 5%. The US is slightly different with Google not having as much dominance only 64% against Yahoo’s 20% and MSN’s 9%. 2007 looks to an even further increase in Internet Marketing figures and with SEO, PPC, SEM figures taking over radio in the UK some main stream advertises are now also turning their attention to the Net to get themselves in on the act.
