Principles of Search Engine Optimisation
One big element to SEO is file size and the content to code ratio of the site. You have to be very carful not to go overboard to be deemed “spamming†the search engine spiders, however adhering to good content to code ratio and filling the page with as much relevant text and links as are ethical if the file in question is with in a given file sixe you have the basic prinicple of a search engine friendly page.
Here at Just Search we recode your web pages, taking out the unneeded code and replacing it form more streemline coding using CSS for images and table etc.
From a recent servey carried out by Adrian Holovaty
He analysed over 4,296 web pages from various sites of different themes and his found the following results:
Total Web pages examined: 4,296
(Pages ranged from news sites to blogs to, yes, porn sites.)
Average percent text content: 21.57%
Highest percent text content: This page (86.57%)
Lowest percent text content: This page (.02%)
Average percent text content for URLs ending in “.com†or “.com/â€: 17.71%
(I figured this might be decent way to narrow down the results to commercial home pages.)
Average page size: 27,910 bytes
Issues regaring content to code ratio and file size are all attributes consisted in the Just Search Ltd Optimisation programe.
