Search Engines ever changing rules - April 17th, 2005

Search Engines ever changing rules

2004 witnessed major changes instigated by search engines to ensure both commercial prosperity for them, and quality of results for the user. Google ‘cleaned up’ its listings several times to ensure only relevant sites are listed, and rejected sites using trick optimisation methods. Yahoo! acquired several new search technology companies and launched a new spider and paid inclusion method. MSN launched a spider program as part of its move to dominate the search market.

October 2004 we witnessed Google double the amount of “files” it has spidered. 8 Billion plus websites you would be lead to think that your website is just a drop in the ocean. Its not!
